  Dozer is our new stud for 2008.  He is the son of Muffin and Claddadgh's Famous TANK!!! Tank will be retiring this year and his son is taking over.  Dozer will be standing at Claddagh Jacks in April of this year.

smooth coat male that is ready to leave now and there

is one little smooth coat male that are 3 weeks old available in

the nursery. Also taking reservations for all coats for May

 litters!    There will be two smooth coat litters and two broken/

rough coat litters.

Note:  It has been brought to my attention  that there are concerns about my cancer and me dying and maybe not being around for all the wonderful Claddagh friends.    IT IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!!!! I have  had two kinds of cancer and am as tough as nails.  The Lord still has work for me to do, one of which is helping the entire world know how wonderful shortie Jacks are...

I am alive and very much kicking.  I have bad days like everyone else, but am trusting God every single day for many, many years to come.  Takes a lot more than a little cancer to take me out.  A breeder has to be as tough as her breed, so there!  Thanks for your concerns and calls, but I will be here if you need anything.  If you just want to talk Jacks, or if you need help with training, or any issue.  Even if you don't want to talk dogs at all and just need someone to talk to or pray with...I'M HERE!!! Again, thanks for your concerns, I appreciate it.

Welcome to Claddagh Jacks  where we raise short-legged Irish & English Jack Russell Terriers.

The Claddagh is the Irish symbol of love.  Unlike other Irish symbols, the Claddagh is not an ancient Celtic design but a 16th century Irish symbol of eternal love and friendship.  The heart at the center is symbolic of love, the hands around the heart symbolize friendship, while the crown represents everlasting loyalty.   Thus, Claddagh Kennels, home of the loving, friendly and loyal Jack Russell Terrier.  Where you will find the unconditional love that you get no where but from a Jack.

                       Christmas 2008 Project. 

Starts now and collecting through October.  Assembly and distribution will begin November 1, 2008.

Operation Christmas Child is our project that we work on every year to help those less fortunate.  We make shoeboxes for underprivileged children all over the world.  We send essentials and lots of fun things.   Each year we set a goal to do a certain number of boxes with proceeds from our litters.  Last year we exceeded 400 boxes.  This year we have had numerous customers ask if they could be a part of it and we thought that was a great idea.  If you would like to send something for the boxes, we have already started collecting.  We use the plastic shoeboxes, so we have to find things that fit in those.  They really love even keeping the boxes.  We use the following:

TOYS
small cars, balls, dolls, stuffed animals, kazoos, harmonicas, yo-yos, jump ropes, small Etch A Sketch®, toys that light up or make noise (with extra batteries), Slinky®, etc.

SCHOOL SUPPLIES
pens, pencils and sharpener, crayons or markers, stamps and ink pad sets, writing pads or paper, solar calculators, coloring and picture books, etc.

HYGIENE ITEMS
toothbrush, toothpaste, mild bar soap (in a plastic bag), comb, washcloth, etc.

OTHER
Hard candy and lollipops (please double bag all candy), mints, gum, T-shirts, socks, ball caps; sunglasses, hair clips, toy jewelry, watches, flashlights (with extra batteries)

A PERSONAL NOTE
In a separate envelope, you may enclose a note to the child and a photo of yourself or your family. (If you include your name and address, the child may write back.)


Do Not Include:

Used or damaged items; war-related items such as toy guns, knives or military figures; chocolate or food; liquids or lotions; medications or vitamins; breakable items such as snow globes or glass containers; aerosol cans
 

You can mail any item you want to donate to my home address.  We assembly -line all items in October to send the boxes in November so they get them before Christmas.  You can send donations if you like, we put those in an account until October and then we buy what we have the least of to make sure all the children get wonderful boxes.  This is a friend of ours who took one of our boxes to Peru.  This little girl opened her box from my little granddaughter, Annie.  Annie's picture was in the box and we are able to correspond with the little girl.  Here is the little girl's house:   Claddagh Farm wants to give to as many families as we can this year.  Our goal this year, with the help of Claddagh friends is to send 1000 boxes here in the states and abroad.
